Among notable projects in SGR’s 80-plus-year history are our International Project, the Guatemala Stoves Project, focused on bringing hope and relief from poverty to the Mayan people located there; the development of the Dixie Rotary Bowl, which was known as the nation’s premiere junior college bowl game; and the Dictionary Project where the Rotary Club of St. George has also given more than 12,000 dictionaries to 3rd grade students in Washington County schools during its 8 year history. The club also partnered with Dixie State University to develop the 7-acre Encampment Mall on the university campus and partnered with the City of St. George in the creation of the Rotary SK8 Park.

The Rotary Club of St. George is proud to have had five members as Past District Governors for the state of Utah (District 5420): Eldon McArthur (deceased), Doug Quayle, Sterling Spafford (deceased), Jim Coleman and Gilbert Trujillo.
