Rotary Youth Exchange - the largest and least expensive student exchange program in the world - is in search of adventurous St. George area youth (sophomores or juniors in the 2024-25 school year) interested in doing an exchange in any of the world's many countries.
Rotary International's Youth Exchange program provides young men and/or young women the opportunity to learn firsthand about all aspects of life in another country during a short term (summer months) or a long term exchange (an entire school year).
As his/her concept of the world expands, they mature and develop a deeper understanding of who they are while immersion in another country’s culture and educational system enhances academic and personal growth. Host clubs, families and the entire community are enriched by extended, friendly contact with someone from a different culture.

The registration process takes awhile but the deadline for submitting an application is March 1, 2024.

Three young men and/or young women from the St. George area (sophomores or juniors in the 2024-25 school year and sponsored for this adventure by St. George Rotary Club) are invited to join in this international youth leadership camp where more than 200 other students from around Utah will spend three days learning together at Wasatch Academy in Mount Pleasant, UT (no cost to the students or their families ... and transportation will be provided).

It's time again to place your order for 3 or more cases of sweet, delicious Californianaveloranges (historically, over the five years of this fundraising project, some of the best oranges you've ever wrapped your tastebuds around)!!! Buy them for your own family or sell them to neighbors, friends or coworkers.
The cost this year has increased to $30 for a full case or $18 for a half casebased on the rising costs for boxes, fertilizer and fuel these days.
Anticipated delivery date - but when the oranges are at the peak of their goodness - is on or around Valentine's Day.

The restoration of the 1936 monument on the SE corner of Town Square (86 S. Main) is the second historical monument SGR has championed. It will acknowledge the progression of Dixie Academy (established in 1911) to Dixie State University.
Dan McArthur, Rotarian, former SG City Mayor and one of only a handful of St. George-ites who started and completed early education in this building which is now home to the St. George Children's Museum, has accepted the role of fundraising chairman.
Our fundraising goal is approximately $9500, including powerwashing, repairing and replacing stones damaged over the years, new lighting and a second plaque.

New Year ... new count of polio cases! We finished 2023 with only 12 cases (6 each in both Afghanistan and Pakistan) and now 3 weeks into 2024 there are NO NEW CASES!
Even with these small numbers this terrible disease has not yet been eradicated and is still very much a threat to the children
of the world.
