LaMond ("Mont") Gubler, a 2nd generation Rotarian, is SGR's 64th member.  The son of former member Stan Gubler has a classification of Hotelier (classifications are no longer required in Rotary but it gives us a jump start on getting acquainted with our new members) and loves being retired so he and his wife Terra can enjoy traveling and spending time in the great outdoors.

Another 8 volunteers needed for the Harry Potter Halloween Party
The St. George Children's Museum still needs another 8 volunteers for their Harry Potter Halloween Party on Saturday, October 28.

If you can, please join the fun at 86 S. Main Street, please also bring your +1, teenage kids and grandkids, neighbors, friends, and co-workers. Time is 5:30 - 8 p.m. although volunteers are encouraged to be there at 4:30 p.m. to help get ready for the hundreds of children, parents and grandparents who are expected to attend.

This event for families in the community will include a variety of activities based on the popular series of children's books, such as "potions" classes, Muggles studies, creating a wand, a costume contest and much more.

The total cases of wild polio since NYD 2023 - anywhere in the world - is now at 9 (6 in Afghanistan and 3 in Pakistan). This new case proves this terrible disease has not yet been eradicated and is still very much a threat to the children of the world.

PLEASE help us achieve RI's goal of ZERO by joining the Polio Plus Society at just $8.50 per month until polio is - finally and forever - eradicated from the earth, 'cause this fight isn't over til its over!
