Thanks to PDG Jim Coleman for accepting the assignment to serve as SGR's Learning Facilitator (a new club and district position promoted by RI). In this essential role, Jim will work with club leaders to create learning events as well as guiding new members seeking answers to their questions while helping them develop skills to serve as a Rotary leader, including managing a project.

But wait ... SGR has need for other leaders, too!

After a decade, Chris Parker is ready to step down from his role so we are looking for a golf tournament chairman (or woman or couple). Chris is willing to help in whatever way he can but SGR needs someone to take his place, as soon as possible.

Ken Sizemore, our longtime song leader, has traded in SGR's songbook for 18 months in California. Joann Coleman has stepped up for the short term, but we are looking for someone willing to take this on for the foreseeable future.

Anyone?  Anyone?  Anyone?

Last week, there was a question about Rotary's 7 Areas of Focus.  If you couldn't list them all, here they are for your quick review:

*  Basic Education and Literacy
*  Mother and Child Health
*  Peace and Conflict Prevention / Resolution
*  Water, Sanitation and Hygiene
*  Community and Economic Development
*  Disease Prevention and Treatment
*  Protecting the Environment

Which 4 reflect some of SGR's most important and current "service above self" projects?

Questions?  See our newly named Learning Facilitator Jim Coleman for answers.

Our grower in central California tells us he will be delivering oranges to St. George several times during the month of March, so if you didn't get your order ... or you got your order, but you've now sold them, given them to family, friends and neighbors ... or just eaten these sweet, delicious, thick-skinned, easy-to-peel, fresh-from-the-tree California navel oranges yourself, please know we will be getting another order in the next couple of weeks.

Cost is still $58 for a full case, $34 for a half case or $18 for a quarter case.

So order today and pay with cash, check or Venmo when you pick up your oranges.  Questions? Contact Linda Sappington.

Rotary Question of the Week:

You can be a Rotary Benefactor by doing this!

Since New Years Day 2025, the world has seen 7 new cases of wild polio with paralysis - 1 in Afghanistan and now 6 in Pakistan.

Rotarians know this terrible disease is still a threat to the world's children and "it's not over 'til its over!"

If you aren't already giving to the PolioPlus Society - at an affordable price of $8.50 a month or $100 annually - see Foundation Chairs Bryan or Dale.
