Hey, have you heard? There's going to be a party in the Red Cliffs parking lot on Saturday, September 12 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. There will be music, food trucks, vendor booths, Rotary District 5420's iron lung and a bunch of beautiful, shiny classic cars and hots rods, the Dino Trailer and, of course, commemorative t-shirts ... all to raise funds to support scholarships for students at Dixie Technical College.
"Rev'd Up for Rotary" volunteers are needed in SGR's 4th annual car show, to help with set-up, take-down, directing traffic, and according to Chairman Dale, there is certain to also be "other duties as assigned" during the day's two shifts: 8 - 11 a.m. or 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Watch for a sign-up sheet coming to a SGR meeting near you.
Special thanks goes to our "birthday boy" Rotarian Cad Cauley who has agreed to pick up and take back the District's iron lung before and after it is displayed at the car show.

One of our members recently resigned due to health problems so even though David Shostak's induction during our 1st meeting of the new Rotary year took us to a net 73 members, we are once again back to 72. This year, let's set a goal to induct (at least)one new member a monthbringing SGR to a year end total net membership of 84! But the only way we can reach this goal is by inviting someone - a friend, neighbor, co-worker! It all starts with an invitation ... so, who do you know who should be in Rotary?
