Pdt. Dale Desmond set some pretty lofty goals at the beginning of his 2nd turn as SGR's president. Here is where we are halfway through RY2022-23:
His goal is to have 70 members by June 30, 2023 (we currently have 59 with one being inducted on Mon., Jan. 16). He also set a goal for new member sponsors at 5 ... but of our five new members this year, only one was sponsored (thanks, Nick for bringing Lois into SGR).
Dale's goal for service projects was 15. We have now completed 16 and have at least 5 more in the planning stages thanks to service chairs Reed Noble and James Jackson.
Our president expects we'll send $5500 to The Rotary Foundation (we are currently at $2652) with another $1500 in support of Polio Plus (we are at $724).
His goal for volunteers was 325. We're already at 377 so feel free to do a happy dance.
He set a goal of 8 socials. So far this year, we've enjoyed 3 with at least 3 more being planned by the "Is It FUNNN?" committee.
We have a strategic plan. We sent 4 students to RYLA in 2022. We have a social media presence and a new website but there are still many ways we can be "bigger, better, bolder" members of SGR!!!
