Please pick up your dictionaries
If you haven't already picked up dictionaries to distribute, you may do so at Jviation, 35 S. 400 West (immediately south of Smith's).

Please make the distribution of these paperback books a priority during your already busy holiday season so we can get them into the hands of our neighborhood's children before Christmas break.

Any questions?  Reed Noble hasChange the answers.
SGR's Christmas party on Dec. 5 was what one member called "buckets of fun!"
"What was the best Christmas gift you've ever received?"
"How did you react when you heard Santa lived at your house and shops at Walmart?"
Volunteer bell ringers needed
Our own Bob Schmig needs SGR to help him fill the famous Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign.

The date you are needed is Saturday, December 17 at the Bloomington Walmart.  This "service above self" project will include a friendly competition between St. George and St. George Sunrise RC bell ringing at two locations to see which club can raise the most $$$ for SA's causes.

If you can give two hours of your time to help those in need in our community, please contact Reed or Linda ... or sign up on the clipboard being passed around on Monday.
"What was the most unusual, unique, memorable holiday experience of your life?"
President Dale was in tip-top comedic form at SGR's recent holiday party.
A gift exchange was the hilarious ending to the evening!
Rotary Rudolph readies for run to Halchita
The deadline to purchase toys which don’t need batteries, Legos, Playdoh, board games, any kind of ball … or ask your kids / grands what they recommend for children their own age.

Unwrapped gifts for boys or girls - particularly those under age 13 - must be in the hands of Rotarian James Jackson no later than Monday, December 12 for delivery to Halchita on Friday, December 16.
Another "service above self" project:  NYE at the Children's Museum
So far, seven members of SGR have signed up to help "littles" in our community ring in New Year 2023 on Saturday, December 31 from 9 a.m. - noon.  This is noisy FUNNN at the St. George Children's Museum.  Your own children or "grands" are welcome to come with you ... young ones to participate, older ones to help in a variety of ways including arts and crafts and refreshments.

See Reed or Linda for more information or to sign up to volunteer.
NO MEETINGS on Monday, December 26 or Monday, January 2 (NYD23 observed) but please make "attend SGR meetings" a resolution in the new year!!!
In the 1950's and 60's more than 350,000 kids were diagnosed every year with polio.  On Monday, December 12, 2022, the number of cases is still holding steady at 30 WORLDWIDE.  You can help us achieve RI's goal of ZERO by joining the Polio Plus Society at just $8.50 per month until polio is - finally and forever - eradicated from the earth, cause this fight isn't over til its over!
