On Monday, July 21 at the Abbey Inn we will gather for Committee Roundtable discussions on Membership, Foundation, Fundraising, Youth, Socials and Service. Please find your committee's round table when you first arrive.
If you can't remember which committee you signed up for, there will be a list at the Badge Box. If you have not yet signed up for a committee, please look around the room to find an empty seat.
Your committee will select someone to take notes so a board member or committee chair can share your committee's plans / ideas on Monday, July 28 when our meeting will report committee goals for the year.
This is an important meeting which will help President LaRene and SGR board members guide club activities in RY2025-26!
If you can only pick one meeting to attend this year, please let it be this one.
Thirteen Rotarians - and friends of Rotary - drove the 100-mile round trip to Cedar City on Reed Noble's birthday (Saturday, July 12) to volunteer for the 28th annual July Jamboree (aka Cedar City Rotary car show).
This popular fundraising event attracted about 350 classic, hot rods and other beautiful vehicles to Main Street in downtown Cedar City ... dozens of sponsors (including local merchants and friends of Rotary) ... and generates about $100,000 yearly for local and international Rotary projects, including a donation of $7500 for SGR's Guatemala stoves in RY2024-25.
Thanks to those who showed up to help! It was HOT but lots of fun to help our Rotary neighbors to the north.
See more on Facebook at Rotary Club of St. George and Rotary Club of Cedar City.
D5420 Governor Suzanne Leonelli Wilhelm's membership goal in RY2025-26 is 200
(a net gain of 4 for each of Utah's 45 clubs) by June 30, 2026. Won't you please help? Who do you know who should be a member of St. George Rotary Club?
Rotary Question of the Week
It's the official RI website
for members seeking information about all-things-Rotary but fewer than 42% of SGR's members
are registered!
The RI Convention in Calgary is now history, but wild polio with paralysis still exists as shown by this week's announcement of another new case in Pakistan!
We know we're going in the right direction, even though in 2025 the worldwide total is 16 ... 2 in Afghanistan and 14 in Pakistan.
If you aren't already giving to the PolioPlus Society - at an affordable $8.50 a month or $100 annuallyuntil polio is eradicated finally and forever - make this your New Rotary Year resolution! See Foundation Chairs Dave, Bryan or Dale for more information.
