The Colombian Friendship Exchange - including more than a dozen Rotarians and their interpreters - will be in St. George TODAY,Monday, June 13. They will speak at our meeting, where they will share information about an upcoming Friendship Exchange to Colombia in September.
Because we're told they are really excited about cowboys and the wild west, after lunch we will take them to visit the old jail; Pioneer Park / Dixie rock for photos; the Tabernacle, the Jacob Hamblin home and ... show them some of SGR's past service projects. Join us if your time permits.
At 6:30 pm, we will host a Dutch oven dinner in the beautiful backyard of Sam and Gay McArthur at 127 S. 500 East (where you picked up oranges last month).
This is certain to be a fun, friendshipping opportunity, chaired by our own Ray Absher.
What is a Club Assembly? Why is it important I attend?
A Club Assembly is as an important opportunity for club officers to share information with Club members, identify issues and discuss future plans. This first assembly of the upcoming RY2022-23 will provide an overview of plans for SGR's new year, review the club budget and take a long-overdue look at our club bylaws.
We need your input because your ideas are vital to SGR's future. And, because we want you to be able to say "yes" to the question: "is it fun?" there will be prize drawings at the end of the meeting!!!
Who do you know in your home or neighborhood who will be a high school junior in the next school year?
SGR is looking for at least three high school juniors (as are other clubs around the district) to attend RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Academy) on the weekend of Sept. 21-24 at Aspen Grove in Utah County. SGR will pay the $350 fee for each of our participants to this amazing leadership training.
Do you have someone interested? See SGR Youth Chair Joann Coleman for more information and/or an application, but hurry because these three slots will fill up quickly.
