Join us for the first of SGR's three "bag" projects in RY2022-23!
On Wednesday, September 28, members, family and friends of SGR and many volunteers from the community will be stuffing 11,000 welcome bags for senior athletes from all over the world in town to participate in 45 events in the Huntsman World Senior Games.
It's an easy assignment. We'll be walking ad nauseum around long tables gathering materials and giveaways in the Garden Room of the Dixie Convention Center (or is it now called the Greater Zion Convention Center?).
Shifts are 9 a.m. - noon or 1 - 4 p.m. Lunch will be served for both shifts at noon.
Come for an hour, a full shift or all day. Great food, great friends and great fun helping this 35-year-old community event be successful!
Please bring your grocery bags for a March service project
It may seem like a very long time to save grocery bags, but in March we will be doing a fun - and important - "service above self" project. We need you, your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers ... and 1000 grocery bags to make at least 3 sleeping mats for homeless in our community.
Please start saving TODAY. If you already have a bunch taking up space in your pantry, please bring them to Rotary on any Monday from now until March.
Techy guys ... Del Beatty from Utah Tech and Egor Shulman from Illinois Tech
On the weekend of Nov. 10-12, Salt Lake City will see its largest gathering of Rotarians since the 2007 RI Convention when members from 30 districts in the Western U.S. and Canada travel to Utah. Join us on the "Trail to Peace" at the Zone 26/27 Institute where we'll Imagine Rotaryin a peaceful world!
