On Monday, September 21, SGR will be meeting at Dixie Tech for a "talk and tour" as well as the chance to meet some of SGR's five scholarship recipients. Each will receive $1000 thanks to funds raised at last year's "Rev'd Up for Rotary" car show! Bring a friend, neighbor or co-worker for this answer to the question of "what's Rotary!"
Brighten Life Home Health and Hospice and SGR joined hands on Thursday, September 17 to tie 14 beautifully patriotic fleece blankets to make veterans comfortable at their end of life. This fun event - ending with snacks, chit chat and pictures ("because it didn't happen if there are no pictures") - was also a way to say "thank you" to the recipients' service to our country.
Thanks to Rotarians for taking time out of their busy lives to accept another "service above self" project at this crazy time of year.

Another successful "Rev'd Up for Rotary" car show on Saturday, September 12 included 61 amazing vehicles of every vintage, decade and style; food trucks, and District 5420's iron lung which is usually "at home" in Herriman. Thanks to Rotarian Cad Cauley who volunteered to make the 600-mile round trip ... so we could have it on display at the Red Cliffs Mall for SGR's 4th annual event!
PDG Kelly Atkinson - District 5420's keeper of the iron lung - responded when the trailer arrived a few hours into Sunday morning, "Wow, congrats! St. George Rotary Club wins the prize for bringing the trailer back exactly the way you received it! Impressive!"

President Kolby's membership goal for RY2026-27 is a net 78 (we are currently at 72) which means we need to work hard to find more new members.
How is this to be done? The only way we can reach our goal of five new members this year, is by inviting someone - a friend, neighbor, or co-worker - to check us out around the lunch table!
To accomplish our goal, our in-house graphic designer David Martinez has created an invitation and printed 1000 for our use (note our new club email address) ... so we want EVERY member of SGR to take at least 15 to hand out over the next twelve months (easy, peasy ... that's just 1-ish per month).
It all starts with an invitation to lunch... so, who do you know who should be in Rotary?
THIS annual award can be earned by clubs which set and accomplish a minimum of 13 goals aligning with RI's Action Plan. In the 1st quarter of RY2026-27, SGR has already accomplished 4 of President Kolby's 18 goals for his year.
Pakistan is still holding steady at 3 cases of wild-polio with paralysis, butAfghanistan added 3 more cases to their count last week for a worldwide total of 26 in 2026!
