The Abbey Inn needs our big gathering place on Monday, September 28 for a larger group making it necessary for SGR to make an unexpected move. So please join us at the Pasta Factory's meeting room located at 2 W. St. George Blvd. for socializing, an interesting speaker and a delicious lunch. Parking at this popular eatery is always hard to find so come as early as your schedule will allow but no later than 11:45 a.m.!!!
Welcome to October, the busiest month of the year in St. George. Put on your Rotary t-shirt and jump in! If you're signed up to volunteer, please showup for the following upcoming events:
Beginning at 9-ish a.m. on Wednesday, September 30 SGR is invited to join volunteers at the Dixie Convention Center to help fill swag bags for participants in the Huntsman Games. ALSO on the last day of September, those members of SGR who are volunteering for the PGA TOUR will gather at Black Desert Resort for a week of pro-golf!
What else is there to do here in our high desert community? SG Rotarians not involved in the PGA TOUR will gather on Saturday, October 3 at Milepost 18 (AKA the Ledges offramp) in support of the 50th anniversary of the St. George Marathon. Breakfast will be served. FMI, see Dave or Reed.
And in case you need more adrenaline, the Huntsman Games kicks off two weeks of excitement on Monday, October 5 during which time almost 12,000 participants will converge on Southern Utah.

President Kolby's membership goal for RY2026-27 is a net 78 (we are currently at 72) which means we need to work hard to find more new members.
How is this to be done? The only way we can reach our goal of five new members this year, is by inviting someone - a friend, neighbor, or co-worker - to check us out around the lunch table!
To accomplish our goal, our in-house graphic designer David Martinez has created an invitation and printed 1000 for our use (note our new club email address) ... so we want EVERY member of SGR to take at least 15 to hand out over the next twelve months (easy, peasy ... that's just 1-ish per month).
It all starts with an invitation to lunch... so, who do you know who should be in Rotary?
The annual gathering of Rotarians - held each year in a different city where participants celebrate RI's accomplishments, get updates and exchange ideas - will be held during the week of
June 26-30, 2027 in THIS CITY.
