Once again, SGR has been asked to move from the Abbey Inn, so on Monday, April 21, we will gather in the Commons area (watch for our sign at the front door) at Dixie High School (350 E. 700 South) beginning at 11:45 a.m. wherewe will enjoy lunch, a short message from a SURPRISE GUEST followed by our program speaker Brian Gunnell, WCSD Homeless Liaison/Student Services Coordinator. Then we will have a tour of the first of five Teen Centers in the WCSD. Please bring a neighbor, friend or co-worker for this important program.
BTW, since our meeting will be held on Easter Monday, school will not be in session so parking will be plentiful.
Paul Harris, born April 19, 1868 was the founder of Rotary when on February 23, 1905 - at the age of 37 - he gathered together a few local businessmen who would become the world's first Rotarians. Happy birthday, Paul Harris and thank you for Rotary!!!
Judging the annual science fair at Legacy Elementary School on Monday, April 14 was all kinds of fun and another great SGR "service above self" project. These K-5 students were confident and knowledgeable as they explained their hypothesis, findings and conclusions. Thanks to Rotarians Tom and Allison, Kolby and Naomi, Raelie, Reed, James, Joann, LaRene and Linda who willingly took time out of their busy schedules to support these amazing kids!
More than 10,000 car enthusiasts attended the HVR car show at a cost of $5 per!

Rotary Question of the Week:
What constitutes a
Rotary District?
We're not to the finish line yet, but it has now been six weeks without a single new case of wild polio with paralysis in the world. It's still out there, but we're going in the right direction ... while we hold steady at 7 cases worldwide since New Years Day 2025 - 1 in Afghanistan and 6 in Pakistan.
If you aren't already giving to the PolioPlus Society - at an affordable $8.50 a month or $100 annually until polio is eradicated finally and forever - see Foundation Chairs Bryan or Dale for more information.
Enjoy your special day with
best wishes from your friends at St. George Rotary Club!
