Don't forget ... we're at the Utah Food Bank on this 5th Monday!
On our 5th Monday in August, we will be providing "service above self" at the Utah Food Bank.

The Utah Food Bank is located at 4416 S. River Road where, on August 29, we will be sorting and packaging (all clean work) beginning at 11:45 a.m. with a short pre-meeting and ending at 1:30 p.m.

Box lunches will be provided.

Please join us and bring a friend ... and a can or two of food to donate.

It's a fun, low-impact, labor of love for those in-need in our community.
Driver needed for RYLA students!
Youth chair Joann Coleman is hoping to find one more driver to take two students to RYLA on September 21 and someone to bring them home on September 24.

If you have the time - or have business on the Wasatch Front that weekend - please let her know ASAP!

... and #5:  was it FUNNN?
Join us for our first of three "bag" projects in RY2022-23!
On Wednesday, September 28, members, family and friends of SGR and many volunteers from the community will be stuffing 11,000 welcome bags for senior athletes from all over the world in town to participate in 45 events in the Huntsman World Senior Games.

It's an easy assignment.  We'll be walking ad nauseum around long tables gathering materials and giveaways in the Garden Room of the Dixie Convention Center (or is it now called the Greater Zion Convention Center?).

Shifts are 9 a.m. - noon or 1 - 4 p.m.  Lunch will be served for both shifts at noon.

Come for an hour, a full shift or all day. Great food, great friends and great fun helping this 35-year-old community event be successful!

Clipboards will be circulating for the next several weeks. Please sign up if you are available.
Please save your grocery bags for a March service project
It may see like a very long time to save grocery bags, but in March we will be doing a fun - and important - "service above self" project and we need you, your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers ... and 1000 grocery bags to make at least 3 sleeping mats for homeless in our community.

Please start saving TODAY.  If you already have a bunch taking up space in your pantry, please bring them to Rotary on any Monday from now until March.

For the cost of one movie ticket or a latte from Starbucks, you can stop the wild polio virus in its tracks for children around the world.  See a member of SGR's Foundation Committee for more information on how to join the PolioPlus Society for just $8.50 PER MONTH / $100 annually!!!
