SGR delivers 157 beautiful new children's books to
the St. George Children's Museum after our regular Monday, June 12 meeting!  Thanks to everyone who put in stickers, loaded and unloaded books from the car and smiled for the camera.

Wanted: committee for SGR golf tourney
The date has been set (Thursday, September 21).  The location has been reserved (Sunbrook Golf Course).  A chairman is in place (Chris Parker).

What's missing is a committee willing to help find teams (as many to 25), hole sponsors (up to 18), giveaway items and anything else needed to make this the very best golf tournament in SGR history.

If you are willing to contribute some of your time and energy to help plan this important fundraiser, please let Chris know.
Work begins on Worthen Park firepit
Work begins TODAY on the restoration of the firepit at Vernon Worthen Park - originally built by SG Rotary in 1948.

No word yet on whether the mason will need some "service above self" from SGR at the firepit, but stay tuned.
Induction of officers will be a PARTY!
Passing the gavel from one club president to the next hasn't always been an EVENT ... so the "Is It FUNNN?" committee jumped in to make it so!

On Monday, June 26 beginning at 6 pm at the Abbey Inn please come prepared to enjoy a delicious dinner, entertainment, a lookback on what SGR has accomplished in RY2022-23, awards and recognition and a few surprises!

Please mark your calendar and bring your +1 for a memorable evening of fun, food and friendship.  Business casual to formal attire.

PS:  NO LUNCH MEETING on this day!
RY2023-24 kicks off at Phil's retreat!
We will kick off RY2023-24 with a getaway at Phil Hall's retreat in Johnson Canyon outside of Kanab.

Bring campers / trailers or a tent and enjoy hiking and ATV trails, a zip line, sand volleyball, skeet shooting, horseshoes, fun at the nearby Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Coral Pink sand dunes ... and beautiful views in every direction ... anytime between July 5 and July 9.

Dinner on Friday evening, July 7 and breakfast on Saturday morning, July 8 will be provided by SGR.

On Friday night, we will have a talent show for your entertainment and/or participation so if you or a family member yodel, tap dance, do magic tricks, sing, read cowboy poetry or any other form of talent, sign up!

It's going to be all kinds of fun with food and friendship so bring your +1 and the kids for a memorable time!

For more information, see a member of the "Is It FUNNN?" committee ... but don't miss it!

PS: You're invited to BYOH (bring your own hammack).
Another new case of wild polio virus has been diagnosed in Afghanistan's Nangarbar Province bringing the worldwide total to 5 since NYD 2023.

So despite the belief this terrible disease has been eradicated, it is still a threat to the world's children so PLEASE help us achieve RI's goal of ZERO by joining the Polio Plus Society at just $8.50 per month until polio is - finally and forever - eradicated from the earth, 'cause this fight isn't over
til its over!
