It seems Bryan Thiriot has "friends in really high places." Please invite a friend, neighbor or co-worker to St. George Rotary on Monday, March 24 to hear about the life and times of Marco Rubio, our new U. S. Secretary of State from one of his closest childhood friends.
And the winner of the St. Paddy's Day quiz on Monday, March 17 is Jeff Hogrefe who certainly looks like he knows how to have FUNNN!
We are still looking for a chairman (or chairwoman) for our annual golf tournament. How about we "cut up the pie" and give three or more members of SGR this opportunity. One could be responsible for finding teams. One could take on sponsorships and one could be in charge of signage, the auction and other details.
This has been one of our best fundraisers over the past decade, thanks to Chris Parker's hard work ... so we really need someone (or three or more someones) to step up.
Anyone, anyone, anyone?
Thanks to everyone who purchased, sold and helped deliver our nearly 200 cases of sweet, delicious California oranges in either or both sale cycles in 2025. We couldn't do all we do in our community, the state or the world without your support. See you again next year!
A trio of Past District 5420 Governors: Jim Coleman (RY2000-01 ... the Y2K Governor), Gilbert Trujillo (2009-10) and Linda Sappington (RY2020-21 ... the COVID Governor) enjoying a short visit with Gil and wife Pat at their Bloomington home while delivering oranges and his Rotary name badge.
DG Todd Boyer's membership goal for District 5420
is "2025 in 2025." Who do you know
who should be in Rotary?
Rotary Question of the Week:
# of Rotarians worldwide?
You can hardly call two weeks in a row with no new cases of wild polio with paralysis a winning streak but its far better than the alternative. But, we are still holding steady at 7 cases worldwide since New Years Day 2025 - 1 in Afghanistan and now 6 in Pakistan.
If you aren't already giving to the PolioPlus Society - at an affordable price of $8.50 a month or $100 annually - see Foundation Chairs Bryan or Dale.
