The next 120 years of Rotary start with us ...this anniversary of the first Rotary meeting on February 23,1905 is not just about celebrating the past—it’s about committing to the future. As People of Action, we must continue to tackle the challenges ahead, innovate in service, and expand our reach to create even greater impact.

Rotary’s history is written by those who serve so let’s keep writing!

Local Scout Troop 42 – one of several troops sponsored in part by St. George Rotary – invites you to a spaghetti dinner and silent auction to raise funds to support activities for young men and women scout troops in the St. George community.  Mark your calendar for Saturday, March 1 from 4 – 7 p.m. and join Troop 42 at the VFW Hall, 100 S. 300 East in St. George. SGR's oranges were slightly smaller this time around, but reports are they were much sweeter and juicier ... so some buyers didn’t get enough!

Our grower in central California tells us he will be delivering oranges to St. George several times during the month of March, so if you didn't get your order ... or you got your order, but you've now sold them, given them to family, friends and neighbors ... or just eaten these sweet, delicious, thick-skinned, easy-to-peel, fresh-from-the-tree California navel oranges yourself, please know we will be getting another order in the next couple of weeks.

Cost is still $58 for a full case, $34 for a half case or $18 for a quarter case.

So order today and pay with cash, check or Venmo when you pick up your oranges.  Questions? Contact Linda Sappington.

Meet Gerald Sharkey, a retired CPA who served on the general staff of the Air National Guard, then worked as Chief Internal Auditor for the Attorney General of the State of California.  He is a former member of Evanston, WY and Heber City Rotary (and Paul Harris Fellow) and SGR's newest member. Inducted on Monday, February 10, Jerry is also a graduate with a BS from San Diego State.

Let's welcome Jerry as a member of SGR. He admits retirement can sometimes be boring so we hope he's ready to go to work!

DG Todd Boyer's membership goal for District 5420
is "2025 in 2025." Who do you know
who should be in Rotary?

Rotary Question of the Week:

Can you name three existing clubs chartered by SGR
over the years?

The first few weeks of 2025 began with 3 new cases of wild polio with paralysis - 2 in Afghanistan and 1 in Pakistan.

Rotarians know this terrible disease is still a threat to the world's children and "it's not over 'til its over!"

If you aren't already giving to the PolioPlus Society - at an affordable price of $8.50 a month or $100 annually - see Foundation Chairs Bryan or Dale.
