It's been awhile since SGR's "Is It FUNNN?" committee has met. Please mark your calendar for Monday, November 11 at the Best Western Abbey Inn. Please plan to arrive not later than 11 a.m. ready to discuss upcoming events. If you have something for the agenda, please text to Linda.
On the chilly morning of Saturday, November 9 Rotarians, family members, and friends of Rotary honored more than 2000 veterans interred at St. George or Tonaquint cemeteries by placing the colors of our nation on each grave. Three local women on an early morning walk and several scouts from Troop 407 joined in this beautiful and serene "service above self".
Daniel Adams, SGR's newest Rotarian came out for the service.
Rotarians Jim and Joann Coleman showed up, too.
Scouts from Troop 407 were there in impressive numbers to honor those who came before!
SALVATION ARMY BELLRINGERS are needed for 2-hour shifts beginning Monday, November 18 through Tuesday, December 24 at Albertson’s, Smith’s, Harmon’s or Walmart’s around Washington County (most have two doors so need two bellringers).
Or choose a 2-hour shift anytime between 10 am and 6 pm at Ace Hardware on Friday, November 22 or Saturday, November 23 (designated SGR Days). If these days don’t work for you, please go online to “registertoring.org” and use our code – SGRbellringers – so our club gets credit for money collected.
In past years, SGR has raised nearly $500 in a single day for the Salvation Army and 100% remained in Washington County.
So put on your Santa hat and your biggest smile and “ring your heart out” to help individuals and families in need in our community.

DG Todd Boyer's membership goal for District 5420
is "2025 in 2025." Who do you know
who should be in Rotary?
The number of new cases of wild polio virus caused paralysis continues to mount with anotherfour cases in Pakistan bringing the worldwide total to 68 so far in 2024 (compared to 12 on this same date in 2023).
Please won't you join the Polio Plus Society by committing just $8.50 a month or $100 a year until the wild polio virus is finally and forever eradicated? Then the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will match it 2x1. But it can't happen unless we all jump into the fight!!!
