TODAY SGR will celebrate 95 years of doing good in the community and in the world. It's going to be fun and informative so please bring prospective members from among your friends, neighbors and co-workers ... and any SGR memorabilia from the decades for our historical display! Our program will find us looking back on our accomplishments ... and forward to another 95 years!

Do you know the significance of Rotary's red name badge? A red badge - reusable for multiple members - means you are still considered one of St. George Rotary's new members. But when you still have a red badge and you've been a member for many months, you're may be questioning when you will get a permanent badge. The answer is as simple as completing the requirements on the sheet you received when you were inducted as a member of RI's Club #1079.

Can't remember where you've put that important piece of paper? If it can't be located, please ask Club Secretary Linda Sappington for another copy then follow the directions to become the proud owner of a permanent (blue) badge.

Do you know the unused foreign currency you have stashed away in a desk drawer or filing cabinet can help in the fight to eradicate polio?  Please consider donating this valuable resource left over from your world travels or a foreign mission to send along with a SG Rotarian attending the RI Convention in Taipei, Taiwan in June.  And, we'll keep collecting until polio is finally and forever gone from the earth.

Bring currency from Italy, Germany, Guatemala, South America or anywhere else to SGR's next meeting or the one after that and lets put it to good use in the world!

The 2026 Peace Begins at Home - International Mega Meeting is designed to mobilize peace advocates, families, community and faith leaders and members, civil society organizations and global changemakers from around the world.

The meeting seeks to reinforce a vital truth: sustainable global peace is built through daily actions, shared valued ad strong relationships - beginning at home.

WE'RE MORE THAN HALFWAY to our goal to sell 250 cases of our sweet, delicious, easy-to-peel and fresh-off-the-tree California navel ORANGES ... but we aren't there yet!

So again we are asking for your commitment to buy and/or sell to your neighbors, friends, or co-workers eager to purchase this delicious fruit. Here are 3 important details you will want to know:
  • The price for a full case is $58 - the same as last year - or $34 for a half case or $21 for a quarter case.  The deadline to order is Feb. 7 with delivery the following week.
  • Delivery will be in the week in Valentine's Day.
  • For each case sold, SGR will donate $4 to PolioPlus for the final eradication of polio to be matched by the Gates Foundation to a total of $2000.
Thanks for your support.  See Linda if you have questions!

Utah Rotary's DG Suzanne goal for D5420 is for a net increase of 200 new members by June 30, 2026.
So, who do you know who should be a member of
St. George Rotary Club?

Only two Utah Rotarians are members of THIS RI level SOCIETY. You only need 25 to be a member but Brent Parkin of the Ogden Club has found 44 and PDG Shaun Michel is recognized for 36!

Sadly, a 4-month old Pakistani infant is the final case of wild polio with paralysis in 2025, bringing the yearend total to 40 ... 9 in Afghanistan and 31 in Pakistan.

In 2026, please resolve to join the PolioPlus Society at a cost of just $8.50 PER MONTH - or an annual donation of $100 to save children around the world from this dreaded disease.

FMI, contact Foundation Chair Dave Prisbrey or Club Treasurer Collin Davis to make your wishes known!
