To acknowledge the success of our 10th annual "Swing Into Literacy" golf tournament, every member of SGR is encouraged to bring a bag of canned goods on Monday, September 25 to donate to the Utah Food Bank. We might even throw in a mulligan!

After golf ... comes Welcome Bags!
On Wednesday, October 4, SGR and friends will be gathering at the Dixie Center Garden Room to help assemble those 11,000+ welcome bags for senior athletes from all over Utah and the world in town for the Huntsman World Senior Games.
Lunch will be served to all volunteers regardless of the shift you've signed up to work!

On the early morning of Saturday, October 7, SGR's will man (and woman) the Milepost 18 aid station. In SGR's 2nd year with this "service above self" project, we will be providing support to the 5000 runners in the 47th annual St. George Marathon; 2000 half-marathon runners and 1000 5K runners at Milepost 18 (near The Ledges offramp). Up to 20 volunteers will be needed beginning at 6 a.m. with breakfast provided by Chef Dave Prisbrey.
