On Monday, May 23, since we have been bumped from the BW Abbey Inn, please join us TODAY at the Courtyard by Marriott located (more or less) behind the Olive Garden Restaurant at 185 S. 1470 East.
Our program will feature the winners of the 9th annual 4-Way Test Essay Contest. Come hear their stories and give them a big hooray!
Our 5th Monday "service above self" project ... is next Saturday
More than 2000 men and women, who have honorably served our nation in times of peace and conflict, are interred at either St. George or Tonaquint cemeteries.
For our 5th Monday service project in May, Rotarian Reed Noble has asked us to share a little of our time to remember - and honor - our veterans by posting the colors of our nation on each grave for our 6th annual Memorial Day flag project.
We will post flags on Saturday morning, May 28 beginning at 8 am ... and gather them back up for storage on Tuesday, May 31 at 5 pm.
This is our club's project, so we need our members to make it happen. We will be joined by members of the two scout troops we sponsor. Still we need "all-hands-on-deck" so we can finish quickly and let all volunteers get on with Memorial Day family activities.
Please make time! QUESTIONS? Call or text Reed at 668-6711.
The Colombian Friendship Exchange - including about a dozen Rotarians and their interpreters - will be in St. George on Monday, June 13 and SGR has been asked to show them around / entertain them. They will be attending our club meeting that day ... and are tentatively planning to go to Tuacahn in the evening (the show starts at 9 pm so there's time in the afternoon to be their tour guides) but not enough time to drive up to Zion National Park.
They will be entertained by Dixie Sunrise Rotary Club on Tuesday when they will visit Snow Canyon and enjoy an evening social.
This will be a fun, friendshipping opportunity. Ideas, suggestions and volunteers are needed ... and perhaps an invitation to have this gathering in someone's beautiful home or spectacular backyard. Anyone?
