It was a different kind of meeting than SGR has had in the recent past, but there was Christmas music while we worked and good support from our membership!
300 bags are needed to create one mat for someone sleeping on the ground
SGR will complete 4 mats with the more than 1200 grocery bags collected!
Monday found us hard at work creating "plastic yarn" (PLARN) to weave mats for SG's homeless
CHANGE OF PROGRAM: Join us at the RISE garden at Switchpoint
A tree-planting project at the new Washington County building was the original plan for our meeting on Monday, November 21, but things have changed so instead we have the opportunity to provide service at Switchpoint's Rise Garden at 948 N. 1300 West off Sunset Blvd.

Park in the lower lot and walk up the hill.  The garden area is behind the pantry.  Ask for Montana.

Please join us at 11:45 a.m. for our club opening and box lunches.

See more information under "events".
DON'T FORGET:  Jubilee take-down at the Dixie Center
On Tuesday, November 22 SGR has volunteered to take down the 39th annual Jubilee of Trees fundraiser for Intermountain Health Care's St. George Regional Hospital.

No special skills are needed and this is not "heavy" work.  Plan to be at the Dixie Center at 5 p.m. and with "many hands" working together we will be done no later than 8 p.m.

Come one, come all.  Bring your friends, neighbors, co-workers and teenagers.  It will be FUNNN!
Mark your calendar for SGR's Christmas party
The "IS IT FUN?" Committee invites you and your partner to the annual St. George Rotary Club Christmas Party on Monday, December 5 with a promise it will be both FUNNN and memorable!

We will gather at the Best Western Abbey Inn for a delicious dinner at 6 p.m., entertainment provided by our own Loriana de Crescenzo followed by a "white elephant" gift exchange (one wrapped gift from every attending Rotarian and guest).

For more information, ask any member of the "IS IT FUN" Committee.
Rotary Rudolph readies for run to Halchita
This a call for SGR members to purchase and donate toys which don’t need batteries, Legos, Playdoh, bicycle pumps (even the gently loved pump you no longer use but still have in your garage), any kind of ball … or ask your kids / grands what they recommend for children their own age.  (place in the collection box)

Unwrapped gifts for boys or girls must be in the hands of Rotarian James Jackson no later than Monday, December 12 for delivery to Halchita on Friday, December 16.

For more information, contact James directly (and REMEMBER, If you are shopping Amazon, sign into https://smile.amazon.com/ where your purchases will also include a small donation to St. George Rotary at no extra cost).
In the 1950's and 60's more than 350,000 kids were diagnosed every year with polio.  On Monday, November 21, 2022, the number of cases is still holding steady at 30 WORLDWIDE.  You can help us achieve RI's goal of ZERO by joining the Polio Plus Society at just $8.50 per month until polio is - finally and forever - eradicated from the earth, cause this fight isn't over til its over!
