Since its Monday, April 1, we'll be celebrating April Fools Day in the B Lounge at Fiesta Fun Center ... no fooling ... this is for real. Carla and David Martinez will be serving lunch off their food truck - Yogi Snow and Snacks. We can easily accommodate 20-24 for the FUNNN and more for lunch while serving in the cheering section ... so please join us! Come one, come all ... it's going to be a really good time. |

Reading and grading 4-Way Test essays

Since Rotary is all about "service above self" here's another opportunity. We'll be reading and grading essays submitted for review and written by 7-8th grade language arts students from local intermediate schools. Eligible participants will submit essays highlighting someone in their life who best exemplifies any of the 4 tenets of the Rotary 4-Way Test:
The 1st and 2nd place winners will take home a check in their name in the amounts of $100 and $50 respectively and their teacher is also awarded a check in the amount of $100 to use in their classroom as they see fit. For more information, contact chairman Brad Stucki. |

Bring a friend and enjoy our young storytellers sharing someone in their lives who best exemplifies one or more of Rotary's 24 words which guide us in all we think, say or do! |

Tour of the new Heartlight Mortuary in Washington City

Come tour the newest funeral home in Washington County. Heartlight Funeral Services, located at 504 W. Buena Vista Blvd., Ste. #2 in Washington City, will provide information relating to the latest in funeral options, design and ways to help you, your family and friends make cost effective choices when the inevitable happens! Rotarians can be a great resource because they can be trusted to tell the truth and can be helpful when someone needs advice to make hard decisions. Box lunches will be provided and Rulon Olsen and Tim Stevens will bring the dessert. They will also be very pleased to show you around the facility and answer any questions you may have.

Once again, SGR will honor more than 2200 veterans interred at St. George and Tonaquint cemeteries, with the flag of our nation. Please join us on Saturday, May 25 at 9 a.m. to help post them at the graves identified by SG City workers. This "service above self" is inspiring and we'll be done in an hour or less with lots of willing hands to help out.
Bring your co-workers, neighbors, friends and family to kick off the holiday weekend on a warm spring morning.
And, there will be donuts!!!

On Saturday, June 1 at 5 p.m., SG Rotarians are encouraged to spend a little time at either St. George and/or Tonaquint cemeteries to gather up the 2200 American flags on display in honor of veterans interred there. This is a simple - and quick - project, so bring your young men and women to assist.
