For more than 23 years, Joyce has served Washington County in its Greater Zion Tourism & Film Officed as Sales Manager, overseeing the teams responsible for meetings, conventions, sports and events, and domestic and international leisure travel, while also serving as Manager of the Greater Zion Film Commission.
Throughout her career, Joyce's primary focus has been the international travel market. She has represented Greater Zion in dozens of countries where she has shared the story of Southern Utah with international audiences.
During her tenure, Joyce has helped position Greater Zion as one of the premier travel destinations in the United States. She has witnessed the transformation of Zion National Park from a destination where many visitors stopped for just two and a half hours to one where the average visitor now stays two and a half to three days, generating greater economic impact in Washington County and encouraging visitors to explore the many communities, attractions, restaurants, lodging, and outdoor recreation opportunities throughout the region. She has been part of the collaborative effort which has helped establish Zion as one of the nation's most sought-after national park destinations.
As Manager of the Greater Zion Film Commission, Joyce works hard to support and expand Southern Utah's thriving film industry. She is committed to preserving the area's rich filmmaking heritage while continuing to attract productions which showcase Greater Zion's extraordinary scenery to audiences around the world.
When not promoting Greater Zion, welcoming film productions, or traveling internationally, Joyce's favorite activity is cheering on her grandchildren at basketball and soccer games. Whether traveling the world or sitting courtside at a local game, she considers being "Nana" her favorite title of all.
Joyce and her husband David recently celebrated their 50th anniversary surrounded by the 3 daughters and 10 grandchildren.
