Rob and Eunice Sittman qualify as both "new members" and "young professionals" and as such they have both been provided with a one-time scholarship to attend DG Suzanne Leonelli Wilhelm's District Conference for RY2025-26 at the Hilton Garden Inn (next door to the Dixie Convention Center) on September 18-20.
But, there are still two scholarships available for another young professional, new member OR a Rotarian who has been a member for awhile but has never attended a district conference. Interested? See President Cox or Treasurer Collin Davis to find out how you can take advantage of this opportunity!
Thirty-one members and friends of SGR attended our meeting on Monday, August 25 at the Innovation Plaza where we enjoyed plenty of laughs, good food provided by Utah Tech's culinary arts department and lots of information about the university's amazing Innovation Plaza which specializes in "bumpability."
Where good ideas turn into successful businesses!
There was a campus contest to name the skeleton. Runners-up were "Post Mabone" and "Albert Spinestein."
The winner was "Dr. Bones!"

Utah Rotary's District Governor Suzanne Wilhelm's goal for D5420 is a net increase of 200 members by June 30, 2026 (that's just 4-ish in each of Utah's 45 clubs). So, who do you know who should be a member of St. George Rotary Club?

We're nearing the peak of this year's polio season, so it can be no surprise another child has been diagnosed with WPV with paralysis - this time in Afghanistan - bringing the worldwide total of cases to 24 ... 3 in Afghanistan and 21 in Pakistan.
While Rotarians know we're going in the right direction, we also know it's still out there.
If you aren't already giving to the PolioPlus Society - at an affordable $8.50 a month or $100 annuallyuntil polio is eradicated finally and forever -please see Foundation Chairs Dave, Bryan or Dale to sign up or for more information.
