President LaRene has called a special - but very short - board meeting immediately following our regular lunch meeting on Monday, August 18. Please plan to attend because your vote is important!

SGR's exciting "Rev'd Up for Rotary" car show is just around the corner on Saturday, September 6 at Red Cliffs (Mall) and we still need more sponsors.  To date the following local businesses have signed on to support our car show, so please patronize them:

*  O'Reilly Auto Parts
*  White Crow
*  State Bank
*  Calister Kleening
*  The Farm
*  Great Harvest
*  Dixie Tech
*  Naylor, Wentworth and Lund
*  Yogi Snow

If you are a business owner - or someone you know is a business owner - who would like to be involved $250, $500 or $1000 will get you a generous sponsor package, including a spot in our sponsor showcase.

Thanks in advance for your company's support as a sponsor or for reaching out to others in your circle of influence. If you have questions or wonder where to send your company logo, contact Dale Desmond.

On June 30, 2025, SGR had 73 members of record.  On July 1, five memberships were terminated for a variety of reasons, bringing our membership to 68 on the first day of the new Rotary year ... but President LaRene has a goal of 75 by yearend.

Please consider those in your circle of family, neighbors, friends and co-workers. Are there 1-2 among them who would be a great Rotarian?

For ideas on how to approach him/her (or them) during RI's Membership Month (or any other time), reach out to anyone on SGR's Membership Committee, including Ray Absher, Daniel Adams, Jim Coleman, Paul Tikalsky, Randy Gordon and others.

Utah Rotary's District Governor Suzanne Wilhelm's goal for D5420 is another 200 members by June 30, 2026 (a net increase of 4-ish in each of Utah Rotary's 45 clubs).  So, who do you know who should be a member of St. George Rotary Club?

Rotary Question of the Week

RI's 46,000 clubs worldwide are grouped into approximately
520 of these.

Sadly, our numbers are creeping up with another case of wild polio with paralysis bringing the worldwide total to 21 ... 2 in Afghanistan and 19 in Pakistan.

While Rotarians know we're going in the right direction, we also know it's still out there.

If you aren't already giving to the PolioPlus Society - at an affordable $8.50 a month or $100 annually until polio is eradicated finally and forever -please see Foundation Chairs Dave, Bryan or Dale to sign up or for more information.
