In the 1950's and 60's more than 350,000 kids were diagnosed every year with the crippling - sometimes fatal - disease of polio.
Today there are many who believe it no longer exists but on Monday, March 27, 2023 - after 25 weekswithout a single case ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD - it was confirmed a 3-year-old boy in Pakistan has been paralyzed by this terrible disease bringing the total number of cases in RY2022-23 to 31!
So the clock has - once again - been re-set even as we continue to plead for SGR's and the rest of the Rotary world's support!!!
Won't you PLEASE help us achieve RI's goal of ZEROby joining the Polio Plus Society at just $8.50 per month until polio is - finally and forever - eradicated from the earth, cause this fight isn't over til its over!
Can you help us raise $$$ and polio / Rotary awareness at the WashCo Fair?
The WashCo Fair will be held on the weekend of April 20-22 and we need your help as we prepare to raise awareness in our community about Rotary ... and polio ... and to sell more oranges.
What help do we need?
* More volunteers to staff our booth.
* Someone to transport the iron lung from Cedar City to the WashCo Fair grounds in Hurricane.
* The use of your canopy if we decide to move our display outside.

Along with smoke inhalation, malnutrition is a huge health problem in the "stunningly beautiful and stunningly poor" country of Guatemala.
If you aren't traveling to Central America with Dan, Chris, Dave and Bryan in May - even if you are - you are encouraged to donate toward the purchase of beans, rice and vitamins to be distributed to those Mayan villagers we will be serving.
How much you'd like to donate is your decision, but the need is real. See Dan if you have questions or Collin to donate.
